Anti-corruption and Procurement seminar in Romania


To mark International Anti-Corruption Day, the Romanian Ministry of Justice held a seminar on Anti-corruption and Procurement on 8-9th December 2011. Participants came from the National Anti-corruption Agency, the Integrity National Agency and the National Authority for Regulating and Monitoring Public Procurement, as well as from the Ministry of Justice itself.


Participants discussed issues relating to the criminal investigation of public procurement frauds as well as administrative resources for corruption prevention in public procurement. In addition, experts from Germany and France shared experiences from their countries and UNDP were invited to present the global perspective based on recent work and publications such as the Practical Guide to Strengthening Procurement Systems.
